Doncaster Rovers are reportedly interested in appointing Neil Redfearn as their next manager.
The 50-year-old is out of work after stepping down from his role as academy director at Leeds United, following a disagreement with owner Massimo Cellino.
Redfearn had returned to the role in July after a seven-month stint as head coach at Elland Road but resigned just a week later after claiming that his position had become untenable.
Donny are looking for a new manager after sacking Paul Dickov on Tuesday, with the team sitting 17th in League One with just one win to their name from six games so far.
According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Redfearn is one of the frontrunners for the vacant job at the Keepmoat Stadium after agreeing a deal to pay up his contract at Leeds.
Player-coach Rob Jones has taken interim charge of Doncaster and will be in the dugout for Saturday's trip to Walsall.
