Neil Warnock says that Leeds United will appeal the red card given to Jason Pearce during their 6-1 defeat to Watford at the weekend.
Leeds to appeal Pearce red card

Leeds United manager Neil Warnock has revealed that the club are likely to appeal the red card picked up by Jason Pearce during Saturday's defeat to Watford.

Pearce was dismissed before half-time of the club's 6-1 defeat to the Horns at Elland Road for a late challenge on Matej Vydra.

The 24-year-old could now miss games against Millwall, Crystal Palace and Leicester City, but Warnock says that the club will probably appeal the decision.

"With Jason, we probably will appeal against it," said Warnock. "I thought it was a yellow card and the red was a bit harsh. His feet are on the floor all the time and it's just a mistimed tackle.

"I don't think the referee was going to send him off. He had the best view and I don't think he thought it was a red. He took advice from his linesmen.

"Jason's honest and he's missed the ball but he hasn't gone over the top or anything like that. People thought it was worse than it was. Because it's Jason, he's 100 miles an hour."

Leeds travel to Millwall on Sunday.
