Leeds United manager Neil Warnock has insisted that El-Hadji Diouf won't be leaving Elland Road come the January transfer window.
The Senegalese forward and the United boss were not the biggest fans of one another before the 31-year-old joined the Yorkshire outfit in the summer.
Diouf's current deal with Leeds runs out at the turn of the New Year, but Warnock is convinced that the striker won't be going anywhere.
"Dioufy will not go anywhere else, he's promised me certain things and I'm happy with that," Warnock said. "He's obviously not doing it for money, he's one of the lowest-paid players at the club. He's not going to get a stage like this again is he? He's a matador and you need something like that.
"It's no good going to Saudi Arabia or Dubai or wherever he was going for six or seven times the wages. He's better off with me, isn't he?
"He's given me his word, if that's worth it. He's been straight up with me and I've been straight up with him."
Leeds advanced in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday night by beating Everton 2-1.
