New Leeds United head coach Neil Redfearn has admitted that he is fully aware of the challenge that lies ahead following his first match in charge.
The Yorkshire outfit fell to a 3-1 defeat at Cardiff City on Saturday, just hours after confirming Redfearn's permanent appointment.
The former academy manager has penned a 12-month rolling contract at Elland Road.
"It's a fantastic thing for me", Redfearn told the club's official website.
"As a young boy I supported the club and I always looked out for Leeds' results. This is a big job.
"There's been a lot of change, a lot of players have come in. It's integrating these young players with the players that have signed."
Leeds sit 19th in the Championship following the defeat.
