Leeds United are reportedly close to making former Brentford and Wigan Athletic manager Uwe Rosler their new head coach.
The 46-year-old is said to have held talks with Leeds owner Massimo Cellino about taking charge at Elland Road.
Current coach Neil Redfearn is expected to be sacked by the Championship side by the end of the week, despite his earning the backing of the supporters for the job that he did this season.
Rosler has been out of work since being sacked by Wigan in November, just six months after he had taken them into the FA Cup semi-finals and the Championship playoffs.
According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Rosler is on the verge of being named as Cellino's fifth permanent head coach appointment since arriving at Leeds just over a year ago.
Leeds finished the season in 15th place in the Championship table.
