Leeds United youngster Chris Dawson has revealed that he wants to be sent out on loan to help his chances of breaking into the Whites' first team.
The 20-year-old made his debut for Leeds at the end of the 2012-13 season, but is yet to appear since then having been kept in the Under-21 team.
The Wales Under-21 international is keen on a temporary move away from Elland Road so that he can prove himself to new manager Darko Milanic.
"If I can't get first-team football here and am not considered, I'd have no choice but to try to impress elsewhere and hopefully come back and play in the first team here," Dawson told the Yorkshire Post.
"[Academy manager Neil Redfearn] has been massive and helped out a lot so far in my career and has always got encouraging words to say and I am ready to push on a bit further now and hopefully get first-team football.
"If it is not here, then hopefully on loan for a month."
Dawson, who plays in midfield, is under contract with Leeds until 2016.
