Leeds United are reportedly weighing up a £10m offer for Derby County striker Matej Vydra after growing frustrated in their pursuit of Abel Hernandez.
The Whites are keen to bring in a prolific frontman to bolster their promotion hopes for next season and have been in advanced talks with free agent Hernandez.
According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, however, Leeds have been alerted to Derby's willingness to sell Vydra as the Rams attempt to cut costs under new boss Frank Lampard.
Vydra top-scored in the Championship last season with 21 goals, and he has also previously impressed in the second tier with Watford.
The same report suggests that Leeds will likely face competition from Championship rivals and lower-end Premier League clubs, with a realistic price tag being set for the Czech Republic international.
