Hakan Calhanoglu reportedly asks his agent to explore a move to the Premier League, with Leeds United one of the favourites to land the Turkish international.

Inter Milan's Hakan Calhanoglu has reportedly ordered his agent to explore a move to the Premier League this summer, with Leeds United believed to be interested in the midfielder.

With Inter facing some financial difficulties at present, the Italian giants may be open to selling some of their top players when the transfer window next opens.

Calhanoglu will have just 12 months left on his contract at the end of the season, and Inter may prefer to sell him this summer instead of losing him on a free next year.

The Turkish international, renowned around Europe for his set-piece expertise, has been influential for the Nerazzurri since joining from city rivals AC Milan, with 11 goals and 19 assists in 78 matches.

Football Insider claim that representatives from Leeds have been in touch with Calhanoglu's agent to see if he will be one of the players free to leave the club.

However, any move to Leeds will depend on whether they can avoid relegation from the Premier League this season.

Having recently appointed Javi Gracia as manager, Leeds sit one place above the drop zone, after moving out of the bottom three with a win over Nottingham Forest at the weekend.
