Sheffield United manager Nigel Adkins has hinted that he could be looking to sign Billy Sharp from Leeds United.
The Blades boss has worked with the striker before, having managed him at Scunthorpe United, Southampton and Reading.
Adkins has admitted that he is an admirer of the 29-year-old, who has scored five goals in 33 Championship appearances for Leeds.
"I've had Billy at Scunthorpe and Southampton and I took him on loan at Reading," Adkins told the Yorkshire Evening Post.
"Billy Sharp's an excellent player who I've always admired and always liked. He's a Leeds United player at this moment in time and that's all I can say."
Sharp joined Leeds from Southampton last summer for £600,000.
