Aston Villa are still out in front in the race to sign Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton, according to a report.
The England international is also a target for Leeds United, having fallen down the pecking order at Turf Moor since picking up a long-term shoulder injury last season.
Heaton is said to be keen on a move away from Burnley in January, while the Clarets are happy to sanction a permanent deal if the price is right.
According to the Burnley Express, Sean Dyche has decided to cash in on his first permanent signing for the club as he already has Nick Pope, Anders Lindegaard and Adam Legzdins to provide competition for Joe Hart.
Despite the Manchester United academy product reportedly preferring a move to Leeds, Villa are now expected to get a deal over the line in January.
