Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has given an update on the fitness of Ricardo Pereira.
The right-back had to be substituted at halftime during the Foxes 2-0 win against Burnley on Tuesday due to an injury, which led to Marc Albrighton filling in as a defender.
Pereira had only returned from a broken leg back in December, and since that point, the club have been careful with his minutes, as the 28-year-old is yet to play more than three matches in a row.
"He felt a tightness in his hamstring, we could not risk it, we are trying to keep him fit. Marc goes back and does a great job," Rodgers told the press.
The Portuguese defender has featured in 11 Premier League games this season, scoring once, while he has also been used three times in other competitions.
At the moment it is unknown whether or not he will be available for the weekend when Leicester City will be playing Leeds United. body check tags ::
