Leicester City have confirmed that Jamie Vardy will miss one game once he undergoes minor groin surgery.
There were suggestions that the joint-leading scorer in the Premier League would be sidelined for two weeks due to the operation.
However, according to PA, the striker, who has scored 15 goals so far this season, will only be absent for Sunday's FA Cup third-round tie against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.
Vardy, who has failed to find the back of the net in his last four matches, is expected to be available for the Foxes' Premier League match against Spurs on January 13, three days after the cup game.
Claudio Ranieri's side are currently second in the Premier League table, two points adrift of leaders Arsenal, but they have not managed to score in their last three games in the top flight.
