Billy Davies, Dave Jones and Iain Dowie have emerged as the frontrunners for the vacant Leicester City manager's job, according to BBC Radio Leicester.
Previous boss Sven-Goran Eriksson was sacked last week, despite the club being only two points off the Championship playoff places.
Martin O'Neill, who has managed the club during a previous spell, ruled himself out of the running on Thursday.
The club's Thai owners have said that they are in no rush to appoint Eriksson's successor.
