Leicester City are reportedly considering offering left-back Christian Fuchs a new contract, with his current deal set to expire in the summer.
The 33-year-old has played an important role under Brendan Rodgers this season and it is understood that the former Celtic and Liverpool boss wants him to stay.
According to the Daily Mail, Fuchs could be tempted to re-sign with the Foxes for another year despite the fact that his family are based in New York.
The report adds that the Austrian plans to join them in the US eventually, even though he is so highly valued by Rodgers.
The Northern Irishman is said to feel that the experience of the title winning season held by Fuchs, Wes Morgan and Marc Albrighton is important for the squad, even though they have all played fewer minutes than in the past.
The former Schalke 04 defender has made 167 appearances for Leicester, scoring 14 goals.
