Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez has reportedly failed to turn up for training after missing out on a transfer to Manchester City.
Earlier this week, Mahrez handed in a transfer request in an attempt to push through a move to the Etihad Stadium and City were allegedly prepared to pay £65m for his signature.
However, City's withdrew their interest after Leicester suggested that they remained below their valuation of the Algerian international, and reports have indicated that Mahrez is "depressed" at having been forced to remain at the King Power Stadium.
Manager Claude Puel has said that he is keen to reintegrate Mahrez back into the first-team squad but according to Sky Sports News, the 26-year-old did not make an appearance at training on Thursday.
Despite revealing in the summer that he was keen for a new challenge, Mahrez has continued to play a key role at the East Midlands outfit, with eight goals and seven assists coming from 24 Premier League outings this season.
However, in his absence, Leicester suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Everton on Wednesday night.
