Leicester City continue their pre-season campaign with a fixture at the home of East Midlands neighbours Derby County on Saturday.
After contrasting summers in the transfer market thus far, both clubs have endured mixed results from their recent friendlies.
Match preview
As the only Premier League club not to make a single first-team signing this summer, Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has every reason to feel a little disgruntled.
The Northern Irishman had previously stated that he wanted to bring in five or six fresh faces, the assumption being that space in his squad would open up through a number of outgoings.
Nevertheless, despite the lack of activity, Rodgers will be feeling slightly more reassured about the motivation in his squad after a 4-0 victory over Hull City on Wednesday.
Patson Daka, Harvey Barnes, Wesley Fofana and James Maddison all got on the scoresheet to give the Foxes their first victory of the summer.
The previous games had ended in a 2-1 defeat versus National League side Notts County and a 3-3 draw against OH Leuven in Belgium.
In sharp contrast, Derby have endured a potentially pivotal few weeks, the club finally having new owners and a wide array of players arriving at Pride Park.
At one stage, there would have been genuine concerns regarding the Rams' ability to compete in League One, but there is now a wave of positivity both behind the scenes and in the stands.
As many as 11 additions have been made in the space of two weeks, the latest of those being the signing of Korey Smith from Swansea City.
Although Liam Rosenior witnessed Derby succumb 1-0 to Stevenage on Tuesday, the previous win over Hertha Berlin indicated that Derby are on the right track ahead of their appearance in the third tier.

Team News
With Leicester playing another game at Preston North End on the same day, Rodgers is expected to name a mix of first-teamers, squad members and prospects for this contest.
Kasper Schmeichel will feature at Pride Park or Deepdale having been given an extra period of rest ahead of the new campaign.
Several other senior players only appeared off the substitutes' bench against Hull, so the likes of Fofana, Maddison and Jamie Vardy will likely be handed starts in one of the two games.
Given the rivalry between the clubs, Rosenior may name his strongest possible starting lineup for his fixture.
Hayden Roberts and Tom Barkhuizen could be among those recalled after being provided with less than half-an-hour in the meeting with Stevenage.
We say: Derby County 1-1 Leicester City
Both teams have reason to be confident that they will run out the victors on Saturday, while local pride is also on the line. With that in mind, we are predicting a competitive share of the spoils, Derby reacting positively to their home backing.
