Jeffrey Schlupp paid tribute to his Leicester City teammates after beating Southampton 2-0 on Saturday brought their great escape to the brink of completion.
Nigel Pearson's charges recorded their sixth win from seven Premier League outings yesterday to move three points clear of relegation with two fixtures remaining.
Their turnaround is all the more remarkable given that the Foxes spent five months rooted to the foot of the table.
With 18th-placed Hull City facing daunting games away at Tottenham Hotspur and home to Manchester United to finish the season, Leicester are expected to survive and Schlupp is "buzzing" over their resurgence.
"Being at the bottom for so long, it just brought everyone together really," he told Sky Sports News. "We knew what was at stake and we really wanted to stay in the Premier League as everyone does.
"We knew that we really had to get the results to give ourselves a chance and I think we have done that really well.
"We've got great momentum now. I think that's six wins out of seven at a crucial time so the boys are buzzing."
Two first-half goals from Riyad Mahrez secured the win over the Saints at the King Power Stadium.
