A hat-trick from David Nugent helped Leicester City to overcome Hull City at the King Power Stadium this afternoon.
The one-time England international opened the scoring from close range on seven minutes, but Hull levelled midway through the first half when Jay Simpson prodded home from Sone Aluko's low cross.
Leicester were back ahead three minutes before the break courtesy of a well-placed Nugent header and, after a subdued 45 minutes of second-half action, he wrapped up the points in stoppage time with a low drive from 18 yards.
Nugent had not found the net in 11 matches prior to Wednesday evening's 2-1 win over Burnley, in which he scored his 100th career league goal.
Leicester have now won all four of their home matches in the Championship this season.
