Leicester City intend to offer striker Jamie Vardy wages of £140,000 a week to keep him at the club, according to a report.
The England international has two years left to run on his existing deal at the King Power Stadium, which is worth a little over £100,000 a week.
Vardy, who turned down a move to Arsenal in 2016, has impressed once again this season by netting 20 goals in all competitions, half of which have come in his last 13 outings.
A further year will be added to the 31-year-old's contract if he agrees fresh terms, The Sun reports, but Leicester face a far tougher task persuading Riyad Mahrez to stay.
City will reportedly hold out for a fee of £85m from Manchester City - around £20m more than the Citizens are willing to pay.
