Leicester City have reportedly seen off competition from Premier League rivals Southampton to land midfielder James Maddison from Norwich City.
The 21-year-old is seen as one of the hottest properties outside of the top flight, having scored 14 goals and set up eight more in the Championship last term.
Maddison has been touted as a target for numerous top-flight clubs, including both Fulham and Everton, but The Sun suggests that Leicester and Southampton are the sides to have shown the most interest.
Southampton pulled out all the stops to sign Maddison, but the report suggests that City themselves put together a £24m package, which has proved enough for Norwich to offload their Player of the Year for 2017-18.
Maddison is said to be in the East Midlands ready to undergo a medical on Monday, with a five-year deal waiting to be signed, edging the Foxes' summer spending close to the £50m mark.
