Levante president Quico Catalan has revealed that the club's manager Joaquin Caparros is close to signing a new long-term contract.
Caparros, who has been with the Spanish side since 2013, is on the verge of leading Levante to a top-half finish in La Liga this season.
It had been suggested that the experienced boss would seek pastures new in the summer, but Catalan has said that renewal talks are close to completion.
"Caparros knows the club and knows our circumstances and has never put conditions on his renewal," he told Canal+.
Caparros has also previously managed the likes of Villarreal, Sevilla, Deportivo La Coruna and Athletic Bilbao.
