Leyton Orient manager Ian Hendon has told goalkeeper Charlie Grainger to grab his first-team chance with both hands.
The 19-year-old will be given an opportunity to impress against Hartlepool United on Sunday, with fellow stopper Alex Cisak away on international duty.
Grainger has not started a game for Orient since conceding four times in a heavy defeat at Exeter City in September, but he is now in line to feature this coming weekend at Victoria Park.
"Alex is away with Australia next week so it's up to Charlie now to step up and take his chance," Hendon is quoted as saying by the Chingford Guardian. "It's up to Charlie when he gets his opportunity next week [to capitalise]."
Grainger has spent time on loan at three different clubs since breaking through the O's ranks, including three separate spells at Farnborough.
