Alex Revell hit a 92nd-minute winner as Rotherham United registered a slender 2-1 win over Leyton Orient at the New York Stadium this afternoon.
Steve Evans's men got off to the ideal start as Wes Thomas headed past debutant Ben Alnwick after just 10 minutes from Ben Pringle's inch-perfect cross.
Orient needed a spark and found one through Moses Odubajo in the final quarter. The 20-year-old got on the end of Chris Dagnall's cross to smash home the equaliser.
Slade's side looked on course to remain second in the standings despite Wolves' 2-0 win over Bradford City, only for Revell to snatch the victory with a 30-yard strike in the closing stages.
