Lille playmaker Marvin Martin has insisted that he does not regret joining the French club last summer.
The 25-year-old signed for the former French champions after leaving fellow Ligue 1 outfit Sochaux at the end of last season.
"I have never regretted my choice," he told Le Parisien. "It was my first transfer and I admit I was a bit lost.
"But you learn from your hardest moments. I knew it wasn't going to be easy. It was a brutal change. I spent 10 years at Sochaux.
"Ryad [Boudebouz] and others - they are more than friends. I grew up with them. Things didn't start well at Lille and I am more disappointed than anyone about that."
Lille are currently sixth in Ligue 1 with 46 points from 29 matches.
