How Barcelona could line up against Liverpool

Sports Mole looks at how Barcelona could line up for the second leg of their Champions League semi-final with Liverpool at Anfield.

Barcelona have one foot firmly in a first Champions League final since 2015 ahead of Tuesday night's semi-final second leg against Liverpool at Anfield.

Lionel Messi almost single-handedly tilted the tie drastically in their favour with two late goals in the first leg at Camp Nou last week, leaving Barcelona boasting a 3-0 advantage at the halfway stage.

Manager Ernesto Valverde has insisted that the tie is by no means over, but it would take one of football's great comebacks - and another Champions League collapse from Barca - for them to let such a lead slip.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the visitors could line up for their trip to Merseyside.

Out: Ousmane Dembele (hamstring), Rafinha (knee)
Doubtful: None

Valverde was able to make a full 11 changes to his side for the weekend defeat to Celta Vigo having already wrapped up the league title, and 11 more could be coming on Tuesday night.

Ousmane Dembele picked up a hamstring injury against Celta and will subsequently miss this game, but the only other absentee is Rafinha, who has been included in the travelling party despite a knee problem.

Messi - who brought up 600 goals for the club with his first-leg brace - headlines the list of star names who will be recalled in what could be the same XI that started at Camp Nou.

There will be Anfield returns for Luis Suarez - who angered some Liverpool fans with his enthusiastic celebration when scoring in the first leg - and Philippe Coutinho, the latter of whom is almost certain to start given Dembele's absence.

Arthur was something of a surprise exclusion for the first leg but may again find himself out of the team this time around with the destructive talents of Arturo Vidal likely to be important at Anfield.
