Liverpool vice captain Jordan Henderson has admitted that he expected Champions League minnows Ludogorets Razgrad to make life "difficult" for the team in last night's match.
The Reds took all three points in a 2-1 victory at Anfield, but it was a nervy encounter as Steven Gerrard's penalty rescued Liverpool in injury time.
"We thought it would be difficult as there are no easy games in the Champions League," The Independent quotes Henderson as saying.
"It wasn't easy at all and they made it difficult. We will learn a lot from it but the most important thing was three points.
"You just have to play your own game and we did that at times but we can still be better. Everybody is looking forward to the next game now and we've got to keep improving."
Liverpool's next European game is against Basel on October 1.
