Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius has admitted that teammate Mohamed Salah is "on fire" after moving to the top of the Premier League goalscoring charts.
Summer signing Salah has scored 12 goals in the top flight this season, as well as adding a further four strikes in the Champions League ahead of the club's final group game with Spartak Moscow.
Liverpool must prevail against the Russian side to top Group E, and Karius is confident that Salah can continue his run of form at Anfield on Wednesday night.
The 24-year-old told ESPN: "At the moment, he's on fire. Anything he hits is going in really. For us, I hope it stays like this. He's a great guy to play with and I think everyone is happy to have him on board. At the moment, he's the man of the hour.
"He's a great player. You can see in every practice how good he is in front of goal, when he takes on players with his speed. All in all, a very good player."
Karius is expected to start the match on Merseyside after previously being given the nod over Simon Mignolet for the team's matches in Europe.
