Liverpool winger Stewart Downing has insisted that the Reds are only focused on snatching three points from their Europa League opponents Udinese tomorrow.
The Merseyside outfit need to match or better Young Boys' result against Anzhi Makhachkala in Group A in order to progress into the knockout rounds of the European competition.
"We go into every game to win, that's the way the manager sets us up to play, home or away," Downing told the club's official website.
"First and foremost we have to do our job, not rely on the other team getting a result. If we win, that's the most we can do. It would be disappointing if we did go out because I think we've played ever so well. We'll have to wait and see what happens, but we have to get our win first."
Striker Luis Suarez is likely to start the clash in Italy as the Uruguayan is suspended for this weekend's Premier League encounter with West Ham United.
