Udinese welcome Liverpool to Italy on Thursday with the Premier League outfit needing three points to book their spot in the next round of the Europa League.
A total of seven points from five matches has left the Reds second in the Group A table, level on points with Young Boys who sit third. A point would be enough for Liverpool to advance provided that Anzhi Makhachkala, who have already qualified, do not lose away to Young Boys.
Udinese, meanwhile, have endured a disappointing campaign thus far and they sit bottom of the group with a return of four points. The Italian outfit are also struggling for form in their domestic campaign, sitting ninth in the table with 19 points from their opening 15 matches.
The last time the two sides met was at Anfield in early October and it was Udinese who secured the three points in a pulsating 3-2 clash. But the Italian outfit enter the match having won just one of their last five matches in all competitions.
Udinese are expected to name their strongest side for the clash with no fresh injury concerns, but Liverpool could name an experimental side. Luis Suarez will start, however, with the striker suspended for the weekend's match against West Ham United.
