UEFA has charged Liverpool and Sevilla after scuffles broke out between supporters prior to Wednesday's Europa League final in Basel.
Just 15 minutes before kickoff in the showdown, which ended in a 3-1 victory for Sevilla, punches were thrown in a melee behind the goal at St Jakob-Park.
It is believed that a section of the stadium was filled by both Sevilla and Liverpool fans after the Spanish club failed to sell their ticket allocation.
Now, UEFA has opened disciplinary proceedings and charged Liverpool with crowd disturbances and setting off fireworks, while Sevilla have also been charged with crowd disturbances and throwing of objects.
The La Liga club went on to lift the European trophy for a third consecutive season.
