Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is reportedly likely to start Raheem Sterling against Aston Villa at Wembley on Sunday, despite his recent off-field antics.

The 20-year-old has been in the front pages of the papers of late after footage emerged of him apparently inhaling 'legal high' nitrous oxide and smoking a shisha pipe in a separate incident.

However, according to BBC Sport, Rodgers met with Sterling on Thursday and reminded him of his responsibilities, but has decided against punishing the England international and has no problem starting the player in Sunday's FA Cup semi-final.

Jordon Ibe was pictured with Sterling during the shisha pipe incident, but he too has not faced any punishment.
