Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has stressed that his side played well during their FA Cup fourth-round goalless draw with Bolton Wanderers.
After they struggled to break down a resolute Bolton defence in the opening period, the Reds created a host of chances in the second half and Rodgers believes that there were positives to take from the performance.
"We did everything but put the ball in the net. Creative-wise we were excellent and were defensively solid against a form team in the Championship," he told reporters.
The Merseyside club will play again on Tuesday, in the second leg of their Capital One Cup semi-final clash with Chelsea.
