The Premier League clash between Liverpool and Hull City at Anfield this afternoon is goalless at half time.
Seven minutes into the game, Raheem Sterling appeared to have been felled inside the Tigers' box, but the referee turned down appeals for a penalty.
Moments later, Steven Gerrard's corner fell to Dejan Lovren, but his header was cleared off the line by Ahmed Elmohamady, who injured himself in the process.
The Reds pressure continued as Mario Balotelli forced a good save out of Hull third-choice goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic just before the quarter-hour mark, following a smart pass from Sterling.
In the 25th minute, Emre Can drove forward before attempting to reach Balotelli with a pass, but the ball proved too far ahead for the Italian to latch on to, with Jakupovic claiming with ease.
Chances became at a premium in the latter stages of the first half, with Adam Lallana and Joe Allen connecting well just after the half-hour mark, but the former lost his footing inside the box to kill off the move.
Hull arguably ended the half on a high when Jake Livermore forced a save out of Simon Mignolet with five minutes to play.
