Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's EFL Cup quarter-final tie with Leicester City.
Sports Mole

Liverpool are scheduled to return to action on Wednesday evening for their EFL Cup quarter-final tie with Leicester City.

Jurgen Klopp's squad, which had four positive coronavirus cases and one illness, only did enough to claim a 2-2 draw at Tottenham Hotspur over the weekend.

The Liverpool manager has suggested that the club will struggle to fulfil their schedule over the coming days but as it stands, the meeting with the Foxes goes ahead.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest at Anfield.

Nat Phillips

Status: Out
Type of injury: Cheek
Possible return date: Unknown

Liverpool are set to be without central defender Phillips for the next month or so due to the fractured cheekbone that he suffered against AC Milan in the Champions League.

Harvey Elliott

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Elliott is making excellent progress in his recovery from a serious ankle injury, but the youngster will not be able to return to the field for some time yet.

Curtis Jones

Status: Out
Type of injury: Eye/coronavirus
Possible return date: Unknown

Jones's eye injury is expected to keep him on the sidelines for "a number of weeks", while he has also recently contracted coronavirus.

Divock Origi

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: Unknown

Origi missed his third successive game at the weekend with a knock sustained earlier this month, and it has been revealed that the Belgian is yet to return to training.

Virgil van Dijk

Status: Out
Type of injury: Coronavirus
Possible return date: Unknown

Liverpool revealed ahead of Thursday's clash with Newcastle that Van Dijk had tested positive for coronavirus, so the Netherlands international is now in self-isolation.

Fabinho

Status: Out
Type of injury: Coronavirus
Possible return date: Unknown

Fabinho is one of three Liverpool players to test positive for coronavirus, with the Brazil international now self-isolating at home.

Thiago Alcantara

Status: Out
Type of injury: Coronavirus
Possible return date: Unknown

Liverpool revealed before the Spurs game that Thiago had become the latest player to test positive for coronavirus. The Spaniard will now be absent for the rest of the year.

Jordan Henderson

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Illness
Possible return date: December 22 (vs. Leicester)

While Henderson has not tested positive for coronavirus, the club captain missed out at the weekend with cold symptoms. As it stands, however, it appears that the Englishman may come back into contention on Wednesday.

LIVERPOOL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Andy Robertson

Length of ban: Three matches

Return date: Unknown

Robertson misses out on Wednesday due to a straight red card for his tackle on Emerson Royal. With fixtures potentially being postponed over the coming days, it is unclear when the Scot will be free to return to action.
