Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has praised his teammates for reaching the Carling Cup final, but stressed that they still need to perform on the day in order to win the trophy.
The Reds will face Cardiff at Wembley on Sunday, and Henderson is relishing the prospect of playing in a cup final at the national stadium.
"We knew from day one that this competition was really important for us and we wanted to go all the way, so we've just got to make sure we perform on Sunday and make sure we take the trophy home," Henderson told the club's official website.
"It's a massive achievement for us and for my first season it's great to be involved in it. Everyone's looking forward to the game on Sunday.
"It's a really special stadium. It's really good being able to play there, so I'm sure everyone's looking forward to it. People dream about playing there when they see it so I think that's the reason why it's so special."
Henderson has been a major part of Liverpool's cup run, starting every game with the exception of the match against Brighton & Hove Albion back in September.
