Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has confessed that Swansea City were the better side after watching his team crash out of the League Cup at the hands of the Welsh outfit.
Chico Flores, Nathan Dyer and Jonathan de Guzman were on target for the visitors in a 3-1 win, with Luis Suarez netting the Reds' solitary reply.
"Swansea were brighter than us. In the first half, we were too slow and ponderous," BBC Sport quotes Rodgers as saying.
"We introduced Luis Suarez and Steven Gerrard and that gave us great impetus but we gave away a disappointing second goal.
"Overall, I thought the best team won. We created chances but we have to finish them. There are no complaints from us."
The draw for the quarter-final of the League Cup will take place this evening.
