New Liverpool defender Ben Davies is in contention to make an instant debut in Wednesday evening's Premier League meeting with Brighton & Hove Albion.
The 25-year-old signed a long-term deal at Anfield on Monday after the Reds agreed a £1.6m fee with Preston North End.
Davies was one of two centre-backs snapped up by Liverpool on deadline day, along with Ozan Kabak from Schalke 04 on an initial loan deal.
The duo were brought in to help solve Jurgen Klopp's defensive crisis, with Joel Matip joining long-term absentees Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk on the sidelines for the rest of the season.
Given the world champions' issues at the back, the Liverpool Echo claims that Davies could start against Brighton, two days after signing for the club.
Kabak is not eligible, meanwhile, but he could be available for next weekend's huge showdown with Manchester City.
