Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Liverpool will be looking to record three successive Premier League wins for the first time since September when they welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Anfield on Wednesday night.

The champions have bounced back to winning ways with successive 3-1 triumphs away to Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United and will be looking to keep the pressure on Manchester City ahead of the leaders' visit to Anfield on Sunday.

However, Jurgen Klopp's side lost their last home outing - a first Premier League home defeat in 69 games - and face a Brighton side in good form off the back of beating Spurs at the weekend.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up their latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Sadio Mane

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: February 3 (vs. Brighton)

Sadio Mane missed out against West Ham due to a muscle issue he picked up against Spurs. Klopp insisted that it is "nothing too serious", but the quick turnaround in fixtures makes him a major doubt for this game, and Klopp is unlikely to take any risks over his fitness with Man City to come at the weekend.

James Milner

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: February 3 (vs. Brighton)

Klopp revealed that his touchline exchange with James Milner after the midfielder's withdrawal against West Ham was in part due to concerns over a stiff hamstring. However, the decision to take him off was precautionary and Milner is expected to be available for this match.

Joel Matip

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Liverpool's endless centre-back problems have somehow deepened with the news that Joel Matip will miss the remainder of the season with ankle ligament damage, which he sustained against Tottenham Hotspur last week.

Fabinho

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: Unknown

Fabinho has also been ruled out of this match due to a minor muscle problem, but Klopp is hopeful that the Brazilian will be available in time for Man City's visit at the weekend.

Naby Keita

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: February 3 (vs. Brighton)

Naby Keita has been out since December 19 despite Klopp insisting that his latest injury setback was not a serious one. Last week, Klopp confirmed that Keita was "closer, but not close enough" for the West Ham game, and so he remains a major doubt for the visit of Brighton.

Diogo Jota

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: February 13 (vs. Leicester City)

It was initially hoped that Diogo Jota might be back in time for this game, but the summer signing is set to face at least another week or so on the sidelines with a knee problem.

Joe Gomez

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Joe Gomez remains a long-term absentee after suffering a serious knee injury during England training back in November, with the centre-back facing a battle to play again this season.

Virgil van Dijk

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

There has been fresh hope that Virgil van Dijk could indeed feature again this season, with April now pencilled in for a possible return from a serious knee injury that he sustained in the Merseyside derby.

LIVERPOOL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Liverpool do not have any players suspended for this match.
