Slaven Bilic: 'Pressure is not forcing Jurgen Klopp back after surgery'

West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic says that Jurgen Klopp is not forcing himself back after surgery because he is feeling "pressure".

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has claimed that Jurgen Klopp will be in the dugout for Tuesday's FA Cup replay at Upton Park shortly after surgery because of his work ethic, not because he is feeling the pressure.

The German coach is expected to be at the London ground after it was reported that he discharged himself from hospital after having his appendix removed.

Klopp went under the knife on Saturday, resulting in his absence from Anfield during his team's 2-2 draw with Sunderland.

The Merseyside outfit, who have struggled to put together a run of victories, will take on West Ham on Tuesday in an FA Cup replay after their initial fourth-round tie ended goalless.

"I don't think Klopp will be back because of the pressure," Bilic told reporters. "He will be back because he is like that. He is the leader. He is Jurgen Klopp and is a successful man. He likes to work. For him this is natural and he wants to be back.

"Liverpool are a big club and have had their ups and downs this season. Make no mistake you have to close them down and can't give them time."

In the Premier League, West Ham have four more points than their opponents.
