Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho has described surgery carried out on his injured shoulder as a "success", while declaring that he is now fully focused on making a speedy recovery.
Coutinho sustained the injury during last week's 2-2 draw with Swansea City, with Liverpool club doctors deciding that he required an operation to stabilise the AC joint in his shoulder.
He told Globo Esporte: "It's annoying to get injured, especially when you are playing well, but that happens.
"I now want to focus on my recovery and do everything right to be back as soon as possible to help Liverpool in the league.
"The surgery was a success and this is what matters the most. I'll be back soon."
In Coutinho's absence the Reds slipped to their first defeat of the season last weekend, a surprise 1-0 loss to Southampton at Anfield.
