Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has called upon everybody connected with the club to look "onwards and upwards".
Dalglish guided the Reds to their first trophy in six years on Sunday with a victory over Championship side Cardiff City.
However, the boss is adamant that nobody should be resting on their laurels.
"We should enjoy what we've done but know that we've got to look forward," he said. "Everybody loved [the victory at Wembley] but when you like something and you've enjoyed the taste it makes you that little bit more anxious to get back there.
"But we've got a long way to go this season. I'm not trying to put a dampener on anything from Sunday but we've got to be realistic.
"I'm sure we'll move onwards and upwards but we won't do that if we think we've arrived anywhere."
The Carling Cup victory was Dalglish's sixth as manager of the club.
