Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed that left-back Jose Enrique has been sent to the United States to seek specialist treatment on his knee injury.
Rodgers has claimed that the Spaniard, who has been out of action since November, is "nowhere near" returning to the first team.
"Jose Enrique has been out in America," the Northern Irishman told the club's official website. "We're looking to try to put an end to his injuries this season. We have sent him out to get some specialist advice on that. But he's nowhere near playing yet."
Meanwhile, Rodgers has confirmed that Glen Johnson is in the squad for this Sunday's match against Swansea City after recovering from injury.
