England and Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has backed his club teammate Raheem Sterling to be a "big player" for the Three Lions.
The 19-year-old has been included in the England squad for tomorrow's friendly against Denmark, which has resulted in some reports that he will be included in Roy Hodgson's selection for the summer's World Cup.
Reflecting on the youngster's recent form in the Premier League, Gerrard was full of praise, having told reporters: "Raheem Sterling is in the sort of form that you pay money to see, he is very exciting. He may look like a small player that can be bullied, but he is strong and robust and has that electric pace.
"He will be a big player for England for a long time and I am just glad that he is a Red."
Sterling has scored seven goals in 28 appearances this season.
