Steven Gerrard has wished Jurgen Klopp "all the best" for his first match in charge of Liverpool ahead of tomorrow's game against Tottenham Hotspur.
The German was appointed by the Reds during the international break after Brendan Rodgers was dismissed following a run of just two wins in nine matches in all competitions.
The former Liverpool captain, who now plays for Los Angeles Galaxy in the MLS, told reporters: "I'm here to speak about MLS, we've got a big game on Sunday. Good luck to Liverpool and Mr Klopp against Tottenham. I wish them all the best."
Gerrard left Liverpool at the end of last season, having made his senior debut for the club in 1998.
