Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has paid tribute to Trent Alexander-Arnold's improvement this season.
The 19-year-old played 12 times for Liverpool during the 2016-17 campaign, and has already made 17 appearances for the Reds this term.
Alexander-Arnold has shared the right-back position with Joe Gomez this season, and Klopp has claimed that the teenager has "improved a lot" during his second year of first-team action.
"It's good for him that he doesn't have to play every week. He has improved a lot, especially in training in the past few months, to a consistently high level," Klopp told reporters.
Alexander-Arnold played the full 90 minutes of Liverpool's 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League last weekend.
