Liverpool midfielder Raul Meireles will be ruled out for two weeks, the club have confirmed.
The Portuguese international was substituted in the Reds' 3-1 victory over Exeter in the Carling Cup midweek due to an injury suffered to his collarbone.
Despite initial fears that the 28-year-old could be sidelined for a prolonged time period, the diagnosis identifies that Meireles will miss two weeks.
"It's his collar bone that is damaged, but it's only a week or two,” Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish told the club’s official website. “We've been quite fortunate with that. A week or two will be the maximum."
The midfielder will miss the Reds' upcoming match against Bolton at Anfield on Saturday (August 27).
