Roberto Martinez has reportedly pledged his future to Wigan Athletic.
The Spaniard appeared to be heading for the DW Stadium exit door last week when he opened up negotiations with Liverpool over their managerial vacancy.
However, following those discussions, Martinez pulled out of the running to replace Kenny Dalglish at Anfield earlier today.
Despite further reported interest from Aston Villa, the 38-year-old decided to inform Wigan chairman Dave Whelan that he wishes to continue in his role with the club, according to Sky Sports News.
Martinez's reluctance to take over Liverpool appears to have opened the door for Swansea City boss Brendan Rodgers.
