Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has stated that he is looking forward to the competition that new signing Adam Bodgan will provide for his place.
The Hungarian stopper completed a move to Anfield from Bolton Wanderers at the beginning of this month when his contract with the Trotters expired.
Mignolet has pledged that he will help Bogdan settle into life at the club.
"We have got to know each other. It's always nice to meet new goalkeepers; the goalkeepers' union is very strong inside the dressing room," Mignolet told Liverpool's official website.
"We work hard to make sure we get fit and compete with each other because that's always the best thing for the club.
"There needs to be competition throughout the squad, in every single position. That's better for the team and for the club."
Liverpool are currently in Thailand as part of their pre-season tour.
