Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has insisted that Mario Balotelli's loan move to AC Milan benefits everyone concerned.
The striker claimed that he was not suited to Rodgers's tactics after completing a switch to the Italian giants on Thursday.
Balotelli, who joined the Reds for £16m last summer, scored four goals in 28 appearances during his time at Anfield.
"I've always said I won't be speaking on any transfers, in or out, but it's a good move for Mario," Rodgers told reporters. "It suits both parties. He gets a season of playing football back in his homeland."
Liverpool return to Premier League action on Saturday when they host West Ham United.
