Raheem Sterling is confident that Mario Balotelli can play a part in bringing success to Liverpool following his summer arrival.
The Italy international impressed on his debut for the Reds after joining from AC Milan for a reported £16m fee.
The 24-year-old was unable to score, but he had numerous opportunities as Liverpool secured a comfortable 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur last Sunday.
Balotelli was brought into the squad by manager Brendan Rodgers following the departure of Luis Suarez, who signed for Barcelona earlier in the summer.
In an interview with talkSPORT's Sport magazine, Sterling said: "Luis will be missed, obviously. With 31 [league] goals in a season, anyone would miss him. He's a massive loss, but the manager has brought in other players to fill the void.
"I haven't come across Mario too much, but he has the ability and the goalscoring ratio to achieve great things here. Obviously not everyone's going to score 31 goals, so the plan is to chip in with more goals across the team."
Liverpool have won two games and lost one in the Premier League so far this season.
